OLASOJU REJOICES WITH LAGOSIANS ON EYO FESTIVAL

The Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo has joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State in rejoicing with Lagosians on the special occasion of 2025 Eyo Festival.
Olasoju who led Isolo contingent to the historic occasion conveyed his warm greetings to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the white cap chiefs as well as sons and daughters of Lagos state for witnessing the festival via a special release through his Media office.
The festival, ongoing at the vast Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, is being held in honor of Late Alhaha Abibatu Mogaji; the Mother of the President of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the First Military administrator of the state, late Mobolaji Johnson; First Civilian Governor of the State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and late former Civilian Governor of the State, Sir Micheal Otedola.
The Adamu Orisha play which attracted creme-de-lacreme from overseas and within saw the various Eyos displaying elegance and thoughtful peculiar renditions to the delight of all.
In his goodwill message, Olasoju described the festival as a sacred celebration and a promotion of the true identity of Lagos as a culturally-loving state.
“Today’s historic celebration is not just about the funfair but a celebration of our cherished identity as Lagosians. I congratulate our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, is being celebrated with this sacred procession. I also rejoice with the families of our first civilian governor, Late Alhaji Lateef Jakande; the family of late Sir Michael Otedola and family of late Mobolaji Johnson who are also posthumously being celebrated,” Olasoju began.
Extolling the cultural richness of the Adamu Orisha Play, Olasoju commended the various families for the colorful and well-coordinated procession just as he urged all to leverage the auspiciousness of the sacred festival to pray for continued peace and progress in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
