The Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Hon. Olasoju Adebayo, has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering social integration and a strong sense of community within the council area.

He made this known at the maiden edition of Ehingbeti Day Celebration, held on Monday at the Ehingbeti neighbourhood in Isolo.

Describing the fun-filled event as a veritable tool to promote unity, love, and togetherness, the council boss assured residents that his administration will continue to support meaningful social initiatives, just as it is doing in other sectors of governance.

Having grown up in the community himself, Olasoju recalled in his address that Ehingbeti has produced notable individuals, including a former council chairman and erstwhile  Commissioners for Finance and Commerce in Lagos State, among others. He proudly identified as a product of the low-income neighborhood, encouraging young people to draw inspiration from the success stories that have emerged from Ehingbeti, reminding them not to let their background limit their potential.

He reminisced about the strong bonds and sense of unity that existed in Ehingbeti in the past, highlighting how well-meaning individuals used to support the less privileged, including sponsoring children’s education and other humanitarian gestures.

Olasoju reiterated his administration’s commitment to encouraging the educational and entrepreneurial pursuits of young people across the  council area, adding that no investment in youth development is ever too much.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Wasiu Ajamole, praised Olasoju for his unwavering dedication to promoting love, unity, and togetherness in the council area as shown yet again by his sponsorship of the historical event.

A major highlight of the epoch-making event was the electrifying live performance by veteran Fuji musician, Alhaji Sulaimon Alao Adekunle, popularly known as ‘Malaika’, who thrilled thousands of fun seekers and residents with his captivating stage presence.
