In a proactive move to set the tone for development in the upcoming 2026 fiscal year, the Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo, has convened a stakeholders’ consultative forum aimed at seeking residents’ invaluable input for the formulation of the 2026 budget.

The forum, which aligns with the statutory procedure for budget preparation, lends credence to the Chairman’s commitment to running an all-inclusive administration where residents’ needs and aspirations are given due consideration. 

In his opening remarks, Olasoju hailed the potency of the platform noting that it has played significant role in his administration’s pursuit towards edging Isolo to the dreams of all as he appreciated the stakeholders for their continued support for his administration since he first assumed office in 2021. The council boss utilized the avenue to emphasize how he has translated his #TowardsTheIsoloOfOurDreams into meaningful development across the seven political wards in the council area as he assured residents of more impactful development across all areas of governance in the upcoming year.

“This platform has always formed the basis of our budget every year and that indicates just how much we value your input. One of the foundations upon which this administration operates on is all-inclusiveness; making sure everyone is carried along without exemption. This is what we’ve gathered to do today again. Our developmental efforts in the past five years has been dictated by your contributions at this forum and we remain committed to making your voice counts.

“In the area of infrastructure, we’ve worked on no fewer than 45 roads to aid the movement of goods and passengers and drive socio-economic growth. The latest of our efforts are Karimu, Oloruntobi, Amodu Faronbi, Adekunle to Olushi as well as Baale/Ibadan Street in Ilasamaja and Aswani/Emzor Way which is almost completed. In the area of education - we’ve shown to you that the future of our children are important to us by way of our far-reaching educational policy and execution of programs like our annual back-to-school, bursary award for undergraduates, GCE/JAMB distribution among others. As regards Youth and women empowerment, we are not relenting just as our strides in areas of health, environment and security speak for themselves and we won’t rest on our oars - this we promise you. Your continued cooperation in terms of revenue is needed for our success,” Olasoju said.

On his part, the Paramount Ruler of Isolo, Oba Isa Abiodun Olakunle Faronbi-Shekoni attested to Olasoju remarkable efforts in justifying the confidence reposed in his capability to sustain Isolo’s top rating among the comity of council areas in the state as he rallied more support for the council boss. 

Also speaking, the Chairman of Isolo Community Development Committee (CDC), Hon. Adesegun Olatunde lauded Olasoju for the premium he places on the consultative forum as he factually attested that, the council has executed numerous projects proposed by various CDAs and Stakeholders at previous meetings. The CDC leader went on to promise continued support from the committee and its subsisting CDAs for Olasoju’s steady success. 

To allow for the deliberations, the various attendees which included the seven councillors, religious heads, market leaders, CDA executives, youths as represented by leadership of NYCN Isolo Local Branch, Security operatives, corporate organizations among others broke into clusters based on their respective wards to deliberate on their communities’ peculiar needs.
