OLASOJU INAUGURATES UPGRDED AJAO ESTATE PRIMARY HEALTHCARE CENTER

The high-performing administration of Olasoju Adebayo in Isolo LCDA has once again made a significant impact in the health sector with the upgrade of the Ajao Estate Primary Healthcare Centre into a full-fledged medical facility equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to carry out round-the-clock quality, accessible and affordable medical services.
The facility, upgraded through a collaborative effort between the council authority, the Rotary Club of Eko Atlantic, and Kewalram Chanrai Group—a multinational domiciled within the council area, was formally commissioned on Wednesday.
At the event, the council boss praised the service club and Kewalram Chanrai Group, describing their collaborative efforts as complementary to his administration’s giants strides in the healthcare sector.
Olasoju emphasized that his administration places utmost priority on the well-being of residents, aligning closely with the Lagos State Government’s comprehensive THEMES+ Agenda and President Bola Tinubu’s all-encompassing Renewed Hope Blueprint stressing that the collaboration come in handy to solidify his efforts to making life abundant for residents.
Making the most of the gathering, Olasoju highlighted key achievements in the health sector under his leadership to include the upgrade of the Ilasamaja Primary Healthcare Centre to meet the demands of a 24-hour facility, the construction of a new PHC in Alagbeji Ward, the monthly Care for the Elderly program, and regular comprehensive healthcare missions for residents.
Express his gratitude to the partners, Olasoju said: “Today is a happy day for us as a local government and as a community because not only is it that our efforts are being recognized and appreciated it has inspired impactful collaboration as being witnessed today. As a government, we are grateful to Rotary Club of Eko Atlantic for advancing Rotary’s mission of impacting humanity and also we are saying a ‘big thank you’ to Kewalram Chanrai Group for their invaluable support.”
The council boss subtly tasked Kewalram Chanrai Group on more Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Isolo especially in the area employment for the youths just as he reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to public-private partnerships, which he described as vital to sustaining the progress and positioning Isolo LCDA as a model council in Lagos State.
On why Isolo LCDA was its destination for the intervention, the Club’s President, Rtn. Suresh Nayak explained that the club was encouraged by Olasoju’s remarkable leadership in the council are having been a resident of the cosmopolitan city for more than a decade himself hence, the reason for the partnership. He added that the service club is passionate about education and provision of healthcare and would not relent in its selfless service to humanity.
On his part, the Group Managing Director of Kewalram Chanrai Group, Hon. Rtn. Siva Subramanian conveyed his fulfillment at his company’s support for the community as he emphasized that Olasoju’s dynamic leadership spurred the collaboration. He added although the multinational has been operating in Isolo since 1960s but this will be its first direct intervention in Isolo as he assured of more CSR initiatives.
The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Anne Okonma expressed delight at being able to facilitate the partnership noting that “public health is all about having intersectoral collaboration with the government and of course community participation.”
Speaking with a palpable sense of excitement and gratification, Okonma explained that every unit of the facility have been upgraded for optimal service adding that the facility can now effectively serve the medical needs of the teeming residents.
She appreciated Olasoju for his visionary leadership as well as the Rotary Club of Eko Atlantic and Kewalram Chanrai Group for being worthy partners in progress as she assured that the facility will be effectively maintained for the optimal use of the community.
Notable among others in attendance included the council vice chairman, Hon. Shakir Sadiq, the District Governor, Rotary District 9112, Rtn. Olufemi Adeneka, top council management staff, CDC Executives as well as other leaders in the community who took turns to appreciate the infrastructural upgrade with a promise of taking ownership and protecting the modern facility.
