INFRASTRUCTURE: OLASOJU SUSTAINS MOMENTUM, EMBARKS ON INNER ROADS FIXING
Isolo, Lagos
Tues. 24th Dec., \'24
While the euphoria that greeted the Emzor Way reconstruction flag-off is still very much aloud, the Mayor of Isolo, Olasoju Adebayo has embarked on drastic fixing of failed portions of major streets within the council area.
The council\\\\\\\'s works and engineering department hasn\\\\\\\'t spared weekends for two weeks running but rather working round the clock ensuring that connecting roads return to their motorable states and avail residents and non-residents alike pleasurable ride in their cars over the festive period and beyond.
The ongoing rehabilitation and road maintenance effort will, upon completion, see such streets as Ogundele/Holy Saviour\\\\\\\'s College Road, Aderinto, Shodehinde/Lamina Lawal/Ehingbeti as well as Adekunle and Ilesanmi Streets become more motorable again after enduring the rains, vehicular pressure and human-abuse among others in the course of the outgoing year.
With work advancing on the roads day-by-day, the Council’s Head of Works and Engineering Department, Engr. Gbolamiga Dawodu assured of timely completion of the projects as he appealed for residents\\\\\\\' continued cooperation.
His words: “This maintenance efforts is yet another testament of the council chairman’s commitment to ensure that roads in the council area remain motorable and durable. The residents and road users have been kind with their cooperation since the projects started and we hope that they will sustain it while the efforts last,” Dawodu said.
The development has so far elicited commendations from residents and commuters to the council boss for his thoughtfulness and unwavering commitment to hitch-free ride across the council area.
