OLASOJU INSPECTS KARIMU, OLORUNTOBI, AMODU FARONBI STREETS AS CONSTRUCTION WORK BEGINS

The Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo on Wednesday evening inspected the ongoing construction work on Karimu, Oloruntobi and Amodu Faronbi Streets.
Olasoju who quickly became the cynosure of all eyes was joined by the council’s Supervisor for Works, Hon. Jamiu Omotayo among other council staff and individuals as he toured the project’s site. He expressed satisfaction at the pace at which the construction exercise had gone as he urged the contractor, Taikeb Nigeria Limited on its signature qualitative job and timely completion.
The triple projects, according to the council boss, was aimed at consolidating his ongoing infrastructural renewal efforts across the council area and further drive socio-economic development.
Olasoju hinged his decision to undertake the development of the three streets at a go on his strategic and unwavering resolve to see to a complete infrastructural development in the axis as he recalled the construction of Aregbe Street, off Karimu Street and Adekunle Street - a long stretch street that connects with Amodu Faronbi.
Speaking on behalf of the construction company, the Project Supervisor, Engr. Babatunde Bhamus assured that with favorable weather and continued cooperation from road users and residents, the road will be completed as scheduled. He specifically appealed to business owners on the axis for maximum cooperation while the construction work lasts.
“This is a development we’ve yearned for. The chairman raised our expectations when he constructed Lamina Lawal, Ehingbeti, Shodehinde, Aregbe all in this axis and the latest one Adekunle Street. We got the feeling that one day, it will be the turn of our streets and today is the day. Not only is he touching our street - Karimu but two connecting streets, Oloruntobi and Amodu Faronbi. These are development we are happy about and we can’t thank him enough,” enthused the secretary of Karimu Olushi CDA, Mr. Adeniyi Sesan Adebayo.
“Past administrations have tried to put this road in a perfect condition but they’ve only left it uncompleted. It’s a good thing now that the Olasoju-led administration is changing the narrative,” he added.
Also a commuter who identified himself as Wale Animashaun was unsparing with words of commendation for the council boss hailing his commitment to delivering on his promise of infrastructural development till his last day in office.
Animashaun confirmed that the road, when completed, will enhance socioeconomic activities on the axis while serving as yet another alternative route to Isolo/Mushin road for road users.
