With utmost funfair and warm reception, the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside residents across the seven political wards in Isolo LCDA, welcomed the Council Chairman, Olasoju Adebayo to their respective delineations, as he embarked on a ‘Thank You’ visit to appreciate their unwavering support for his administration which height was his victory in the recently held party chairmanship primaries.

The tour, which commenced on Monday and rounded up Tuesday, saw the council boss become the cynosure of all eyes as he moved through the wards with a sophisticated entourage which included the entire council executive members, outgoing councillors, councillorship candidates of the party, top party officials, and other political and community stakeholders.

From the expansive premises of Ajao Estate Primary School on Fatai Irawo Street, Ajao Estate, to the frontage of Faronbi Primary School in Alagbeji Ward, and Consumer Base in Akinbaiye Ward, Olasoju expressed his heartfelt appreciation to party faithful and residents for their steadfast belief in his leadership since 2021. He emphasized that their confidence in his capability has served as one of his greatest sources of motivation.

Delivering a similar message to party loyalists in Ilasamaja, Ishagatedo/Ire-Akari, Okota, and Apena Wards, Olasoju acknowledged the invaluable contributions of party leaders especially Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale and Chief Muraina Akanbi Taiwo in guiding the party’s affairs. He noted their instrumental roles in ensuring that the chairmanship and councillorship primaries in Isolo LCDA were peaceful and devoid of rancor.

The council mayor used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to sustaining his open-door policy as he called on those who may still feel dissatisfied with the outcomes of the intra-party elections to set aside their grievances and join him in advancing the development of Isolo LCDA.

Leveraging the large crowds gathered at each stop, Olasoju gave a brief account of his stewardship, highlighting achievements specific to each ward and across various sectors of governance. He assured his audience that he would not rest on his laurels and would prioritize consolidation and expansion of developmental strides in the next four years as he anticipated a resounding victory at the July 12 polls.

Furthermore, he urged residents to extend the same overwhelming confidence they have in his administration to the federal government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This is as he praised the President’s bold policies, asserting that they have saved the nation from impending economic collapse.

Olasoju went on to encourage residents to come out en masse to vote in the upcoming local government elections and to ensure the APC’s victory through effective mobilization and grassroots engagement.

At each ward visited, Olasoju donated the sum of N1 million to be shared among party faithful as a token of his kind gesture to help them have a memorable Sallah celebration.
