It is safe to posit that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will cruise to a resounding success in the upcoming Local Government elections in Isolo LCDA; this is as the leadership of entire 13 Markets in the council area has pledged their support for the party’s flagbearers. 

At a stakeholders’ meeting held on the premises of the council secretariat on Tuesday, the market leaders under the umbrella body - Association of Commodity Market Men and Women Association of Nigeria (ACMWAN), Isolo LCDA passed a vote of confidence on Olasoju’s administration as they affirmed their commitment to mobilizing for APC\'s success at the polls. 

According to the Deputy Iyaloja General, Alhaja Kadijat Kareem, the public show of solidarity and endorsement had become pertinent to ensure that the success of Olasoju, his running mate -  Hon. Shakir Sadiq Adeola as well as the seven councilorship candidates of the party at the polls ushers in continuous development in the council area. 

The council boss appreciated the market leaders for sustaining and promoting cordial and mutually-beneficial relationship between the council authority and them as he expressed palpable delight in their endorsement. 

Olasoju impressed it on his audience that his administration wil roll out more impactful  programs to support their business activities in the next four years. He highlighted numerous other empowerment initiatives that he has in stock for them and the entire women in the council area to support their entrepreneurial endeavors and ultimately grow the council’s economy. 

The council honcho urged the stakeholders to sensitize their members on the need to come out en masse to vote in the July 12 polls adding that the council hope to have a large turnout of voters on that day.

At intervals, the market men and women employed a variety of songs connoting solidarity and re-affirming their belief in Olasoju’s candidacy and ability to take Isolo LCDA to greater heights in all areas of development. 

Notable among those in attendace included the revenue chairman, Mr. Gbenga Akinyemi, Isolo LCDA market mistress; Mrs. Adegbite, Secretary-General ACMWAN, Chief Akeem Apena, and the State Representative ACMWAN, Chief Mrs. Silifatu Adebayo among others.
