With the return of Nigeria’s independence anniversary this year, the Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo has called for more patriotism and commitment to national development from all Nigerians. 

His charge was contained in a special Independence Day message penned this morning to felicitate Isolo residents and Nigerians at home and abroad. 

The council mayor described the historic anniversary as a time to look back on how far the nation has come in her democratic journey of nationhood, acknowledge and take pleasure in the success of citizens\' contributions to national development and look at how to keep contributing each one\'s expected quota to ensure that Nigeria maintains its exalted position in the comity of nations. 

“It’s 65 unbroken years of our dear country, Nigeria’s existence as a nation. Today is, of course, a day to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come, take stock of our progress, appreciate our achievements, and look at areas where we must improve,” the statement read in part. 

While joining the state and federal governments, on behalf of the government and people of Isolo LCDA, to felicitate Nigerians at large, Olasoju called for heightened patriotism from all and sundry to see to the continued growth of the nation in all sectors of governance and national development wishing everyone a happy 65th independence anniversary. 

“I, on behalf of the teeming residents of Isolo LCDA, join the state and federal governments in rejoicing with Nigerians at large on this historic Independence Day anniversary.

“May this celebration not only remind us of our shared heritage and resilience but also inspire us to renew our commitment to unity, peace, and national development. Happy 65th Independence Anniversary,” the statement concluded.
