OLASOJU MOURNS PASSING OF CHIEF MARTINS AYOADE ADEGBOYEGA

The Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo has mourned the passing of the first executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Chief Martins Ayoade Adegboyega who breathed his last on Saturday 1st November 2025. 

He was aged 90. 

In a personally-signed condolence message released on Sunday morning, Olasoju described the death of the old war-horse as a big loss to Isolo LCDA, Oshodi-Isolo LGA and Lagos State at large. The council boss added that Pa. Adegboyega would be sorely missed for his wise counsel and uncommon commitment to community development which remained evident long after his exit from public office.

“Chief Martins Ayoade Adegboyega was not just a pioneer administrator but a visionary leader whose footprints in the governance of the old Oshodi-Isolo Local Government continue to inspire successive administrations,” Olasoju said.

He noted that the late elder statesman lived a life of characterized by impactfulness, selfless service, and integrity, leaving behind enduring legacies that shaped the political and developmental landscape of the area.

“On behalf of the government and good people of Isolo LCDA, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Adegboyega family, the people of Oshodi-Isolo, and indeed the entire Lagos State. May the Almighty grant his soul eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he added.

A burial arrangement will be announced soon.
