The Mayor of Isolo, Olasoju Adebayo has enjoined Christians around the council area and beyond to seize the opportunity of this year\\\'s Christmas to show love and compassion to everyone around them in the true spirit of Christ\\\'s birth celebration.

The council boss made the appeal in his special Christmas greetings to the adherents of Christianity released by his media office shortly after sunrise today.

Olasoju who expressed his delight at the return of Christmas described it as yet another opportunity to not only celebrate Christ’s birth but demonstrate His message of peace, goodwill, warmth towards one another as well as selflessness even beyond the Yuletide. 

“As we, yet again, maximize the gift of life  by coming together as a community and nation to join the rest of the world in celebrating Christmas today, I\\\'m imploring us to do so by spreading love and promoting all that the birth of Christ symbolizes. 

“May we embrace the true spirit of Christmas by sharing kindness, understanding, and hope with everyone whose path and ours crosses. Today\\\'s celebration  of the birth of Christ could further be the exploited to recommit to demonstrating His message of peace, goodwill, warmth towards others and selflessness beyond the Yuletide season,” the statement read in part. 

Apparently convinced that Nigerians are now of increased patriotism and believe in the journey of national rebirth being midwived by president Bola Tinubu, the council boss continued saying, “Together, we can make the world a  place of increased brightness and compassion  reflecting the light and love that Christmas represents,” as he hoped that the festivities will be celebrated within the confines of morality and modesty. 

He concluded by wishing all and sundry a memorable christmas and prosperous new year, “In whatever way we choose to celebrate, It is my hope that our celebration this year will be within the ambit of modesty and confines of the law. Merry Christmas!” Olasoju wrote.
