OUTPOUR OF ENCOMIUMS, EXCITEMENT AS IBADAN STREET, ILASAMAJA CONSTRUCTION GETS UNDERWAY
Isolo, Lagos
Mon. 30th Dec., ‘24
The commencement of construction work on Ibadan Street in Ilasamaja area of Isolo LCDA has been welcomed with wild excitement by residents and road users alike in the community.
Preliminary work began last Friday when the contractor - JIDSMA Nigeria Limited commissioned by the council authority under the visionary leadership of Olasoju Adebayo to put the road in desirable and motorable state like the adjoining Baale Street moved to site.
Recall that the council mayor had, last May, during the groundbreaking ceremony of the now-completed Baale Street assured that Ibadan street will also be constructed to consolidate and complement the Baale Street stretch.
House owners and residents on the street could not but take pleasure in the development with many staying outside their respective houses to monitor the ongoing earthwork activity.
‘’This is a development we find so delightsome because our hopes had been raised since construction work started on Baale Street and we are glad that the council chairman has shown yet again that he’s a man of integrity by walking the talk on his promise of extending the development to our street,” a resident, Sarah Ogunsakin enthused.
Continuing she said, “The fact is that the beauty of what the chairman has done in Baale is for similar efforts to be extended to Ibadan and maybe Cecilia Odutuga to further link with Ogunbowale to create a ring road that will completely take traffic from the main road. Above all this is a welcome and laudable development that we are all proud of.”
“What more can I say to the chairman for this development that many of us believe is long over due. We are glad that he has remembered us in Ibadan street with this road construction. Our hope is that it will be completed soonest like Baale street. Upon completion we will take ownership and ensure its proper usage through the Community Development Association (CDA),” a resident who identified herself as Alhaja Adejumo said.
