The second four-year tenure of Olasoju Adebayo as the Executive chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has formally commenced as he takes the oath of office today. 

Olasoju alongside his vice chairman, Hon. Shakir Adeola Sadiq and their counterparts across other council areas took the oaths of office and allegiance at the official inauguration presided over by the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu held at the Sports Pavilion Ground, Lagos House, Ikeja. 

While addressing pressmen on the sideline of the historical ceremony, Olasoju appreciated the residents of Isolo LCDA for the confidence reposed on him assuring that the new four years will witness even greater development.

“Today is a historic day in the history of Isolo LCDA and Lagos State at large. Today, I have just formally renewed my commitment to the continuous development of Isolo LCDA. The constituents all of whom I owe today to, were impressed with my first term performance hence their renewal of our mandate a fortnight ago. I am committed to abiding by the oaths and allegiance of office. The impactful governance we achieved in the last four years will be nothing compared to what lies ahead,” Olasoju said. 

He appreciated the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his reassurance of support for local government and continued support for grassroots governance. 

Olasoju and Sadiq were accompanied to the epochal event by their lovely spouses, Mrs Olajumoke Olasoju and Hajia Rukayat Sadiq, respectively. 

Notable among other government functionaries and other notable individuals in attendace included the Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Governance Advisory Council leaders and party leaders among others.
